Like with a lot of things in business…. I don’t really do planning like most people 🤪
While I CERTAINLY do HAVE a plan and look at sales, I definitely don’t do the traditional model of mapping it all out in a way that can feel pressured, intense, and (although mildly exciting) VERY overwhelming.
I see so many entrepreneurs that swing the pendulum one way or another when it comes to planning…
They go hardcore tactics, exact steps, and intense goals/timelines.
They resist planning all together and run the other way when they hear something like “sales forecasting”.
I think ESPECIALLY after the dumpster fire of 2020, people are more likely to make these big swings. They either want to CONTROL IT ALL or they want to light the plan on fire because #whothefuckknowswhatsnext
But here’s the deal… planning in your business is so valuable – no matter if you’re a solopreneur or have a big team – but it doesn’t have to be so black or white.
There’s a middle ground that can FEEL good while also helping you go AFTER your goals without paralyzing you in overwhelm or indecision.
