Business has always been about THIS – and it always will be

Connection can REALLY grow a business. It makes the way for support, referrals, opportunities, and resources to flow our way.
But, when it comes to the kind of connection that pays off for the long haul, posting content online isn’t enough. Starting a Facebook group by itself doesn’t cut it. Booking loads of sales call is just step one.
Because GENUINE connection is the only type of connection that lasts and builds your business long-term. Being yourself, getting real, and staying vulnerable with your community – THAT’S the long-term strategy that will pay off more than you can even imagine. (more…)

The Two Problems with “Getting Visible”

Visibility is one of the biggest challenges for new entrepreneurs.
I hear from so many people that they really WANT a certain result, but they aren’t willing to do the VISIBLE work to get that result. (The behind the scenes stuff? Don’t get me wrong – they’re all about hustling in that aspect, but getting it out there? So much more challenging!)
When it comes to Facebook posts, livestreams, Youtube videos, consistent Instagram content, asking for the sale….getting visible is a HUGE challenge for so many new entrepreneurs.
After creating six figures in my first year of business and growing from there, I’ve learned first hand that getting visible IS the key to growing your business. It’s not just smoke and mirrors. HOWEVER, I’ve also learned that it’s not enough to just talk about getting visible and what that visibility can do for your bank account.
We’ve got to talk about getting visible and putting yourself out there consistently…and in a way that feels GOOD.
It sounds simple enough, but there’s a problem with this — with visibility feeling good. In fact, there’s two problems with “getting visible”. Here’s what I mean: (more…)

2 Steps to Creating Consistent Connections (and BIG results) in Your Business

I get asked regularly how I created success so quickly in my business. The answer is not a grand 5-step plan or some big secret. Here’s what I did:

I showed up every. single. day.

I’d say that’s it, that’s all I did, but I know showing up consistently isn’t easy. In fact, showing up consistently BEFORE we see results can be quite hard. BUT, it’s what will make all the difference between success and failure when we’re starting out.
For me, showing up meant looking at my relationship with my community and my business just like any other relationship.
I knew that if someone I was dating showed up to hang out with me for 5 days in a row, then dropped off the face of the earth for 10 days, then came back for 2, etc…we wouldn’t be hanging out together for long. I realized right away that my potential clients, community, and followers feel the same way. They expect (and want) me to show up consistently even BEFORE they start engaging, interacting, and showing up for me. (more…)

Are Facebook groups and funnels REALLY dying? Maybe.

“Facebook groups are dying.”
“Marketing funnels don’t work anymore.”
“Webinars no longer convert.”
There’s been talk around the block lately that Facebook groups, webinars, and even email funnels are no longer useful in business, particularly when it comes to growing an audience (and your bank account).
But, these numbers only tell one side of the story.
What I want to hone in on is WHY they’re “dying”.
Because…Facebook groups, webinars, or email funnels that are unengaged, only about sales, or aren’t true communities MIGHT be dying (probably should be dying)…but REAL communities?
Real communities are not going away. Real communities are here to stay.
…and, those real communities will build your business and your bank account for the long haul! Here’s how. (more…)

How To Build Your Community AND Make Bank

Ready for a #truthbomb? It’s possible to build a thriving, VALUABLE community while building your business + bank account.
Because contrary to what some might say, these two things are not mutually exclusive. You don’t have to choose between building a community…or building an empire.
You get to have both, so long as you are willing to DO both!
That means, we don’t JUST focus our time on selling…and we don’t JUST focus our energy on serving. We’ve got to make space in our day for both, because only then do our communities AND our businesses thrive.
Don’t believe me yet?
I built a thriving community AND an ever-growing bank account while staying value-based and in integrity the entire time. (Aka, no sleazy, slimy, manipulative tricks were needed. And I don’t talk about making XX amount five times a day!)
You see, I’m not one of those coaches who thinks you should only build a community to make more money. But, at the same time, I’m not one of those coaches who believes you shouldn’t sell to your community either.
For maximum results, we’ve got to develop a mindset where we can give value, serve, and be willing to receive all at the same time.
Here are my top 5 tips for creating a thriving, engaged community that also grows your bank account:  (more…)

How To Build An Engaged Community That Also Grows Your Bank Account

I’ve heard some stuff lately like… “Facebook groups are dying”.
I couldn’t disagree more.
Facebook groups that are unengaged, only about sales, or aren’t true communities might be dying, but REAL communities are not.
I’ve built my Facebook group to over 2,000 women and I’ve consistently used it to make five-figure months since my second month in business.
There is a way to build a thriving community that is valuable while also building your business and your bank account.
But here’s the key… we have to be willing to do BOTH.
We can’t JUST be about the selling and we can’t JUST be about the service. When we combine both is when not only will our communities thrive but when our businesses thrive!

Here are my best tips around how I’ve built a thriving community and my bank account while feeling value-based and integrity-based the whole time.

The Money Isn’t In Your List

I hear “the money is in your list” as a statement used constantly in this industry and in marketing. Yet, for those of us in service-based businesses… it’s just not true. The money isn’t in your list, it’s not in your FB group, and it’s definitely not in your social media following.

The money is in your ENGAGEMENT with that list, that group, that social media following.

As a coach who created over 100K in 10 months of business, and saw quick results right out of the gate… I know that is why.

I made my audience my priority… I created amazing content for them, and then focused on engaging on that content.

Do numbers matter? Certainly. But what matters more than numbers, and what matters BEFORE numbers is engagement!

At the end of the day you can have 5,000 people on your list but if none of them want to connect with you… they certainly won’t be buying from you!

I often see people saying that they’re worried about engaging too much. They think it will burn them out, that it will make them resentful, or that their audience will be less likely to buy if they have too much access to them.

I call bullshit.

YOU get to decide how much you let it burn you out. YOU get to see the energy exchange with your audience as positive, beneficial, and even. YOU get to build relationships that make them WANT to hire you.

Don’t get me wrong… we all need boundaries. I have to have boundaries because I have to prioritize myself and my paying clients. However, it doesn’t mean that there isn’t a middle ground where you can build SERIOUSLY engaged relationships and community without hurting yourself or your clients.
