Transparency is such a buzzword in marketing right now and I have a lot of thoughts I want to share about it.

Personally, I FULLY believe in sharing the BTS in so many ways- I have two podcasts, 3 client lessons/week on Instagram, 2+ years of client files, not to mention a metric f*ck ton of other content dedicated to it.

AND, I think there is a way where the expectations around it can be super unhelpful too.

As with so many things in our industry, the transparency pendulum swings VASTLY from:

-You owe it to your audience to share it ALL no matter what

to

-Make it all look good and NEVER share the struggles

And I think both can keep us all really stuck, and I want to be TRANSPARENT on what I think about it and what I see the opportunities are to shift it… see what I did there?!

If you ever think you must be the only person who can’t seem to get this entrepreneur thing “right”, feel so much pressure it’s hard to show up, or think everyone’s got it together but you… this episode is for you.

If you’re looking for ways to be transparent that feel good (and feel like an honoring of yourself AND your community)… this is for you too.

Let’s talk about what it REALLY means to have a lit up life and business and how to approach transparency online in a way that supports you, your business, AND your results.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • When transparency is helpful for business growth versus when it’s not (and when it can actually become toxic and harmful)
  • How to be transparent as a business owner in a way that feels good to you and your audience (and also supports your marketing activities)
  • How I personally decide what to share and the 2 transparency filters that’ll help you feel better both consuming and creating content online
