Q&A: How to turn your free consultation call into a paid client

Could you share your thoughts about how to decide what type of free call to offer aside from a consultation call? When I have done this in the past, I have found that people get the fix they need from our conversation and didn’t move forward in the sales process. I realize there are other benefits to those calls like potential referrals, supporters over time, etc. However, if none of them are leading to potential sales, I’m wondering what I can do differently or better. Perhaps I’m attracting people looking for a short-term fix.
