How do you coach your clients around finding the motivation to move forward while balancing the understanding that our external world doesn’t necessarily correlate with our internal fulfillment and gratitude for the present? In the past I had used Motivation for a “better future” to work towards my goals and have realized over time that yes, external things and hitting goals are nice, but feeling fulfilled is obviously an inside job. I feel like the pendulum has however swung too far the other way where I now find it hard to be motivated and work towards a future goal. Thoughts?
