Sharing valuable content has allowed me to create relationships, build an engaged community of over 7000 women entrepreneurs, and ultimately, convert them into paying clients.

The Real Cost of Decision Fatigue

Is it just me or does it seem like everything in our lives and businesses just gets more and more complicated?
Picking our Internet provider, figuring out the latest social media platform, navigating the endless opt-ins shoved in our faces, or understanding what’s healthy and what’s not in between a sea of different opinions.
We’re constantly bombarded with choices and decisions to make.
You might be falling into decision fatigue without even realizing it.
All of these things not only use up our time, but they also use up our mental energy. And when we use up too much mental energy, we deplete our mental resources. When we deplete our mental resources, we either make poor decisions or avoid making decisions all together. (And that’s not so good for our lives or our businesses!)
So, the question becomes how can we alleviate decisions in both our personal and biz lives, so that we protect our mental energy and avoid decision fatigue? (more…)

Your ideal client is killing your results

Understanding your audience is important when it comes to marketing. But, a lot of the time, exercises like identifying your ideal client or creating an ideal client archetype, simply keep us stuck.
Because too many of us are living this story that if we don’t have things perfectly aligned, if we don’t understand every nook and cranny of our ideal clients, then we can’t take action. We can’t get visible, create content, share that content, and sell our programs and services. We wait and wait for clarity, and won’t move forward until we have it 100% (which is super hard to do without any action).
Here’s how to ditch the idea of the “ideal client” – and what you should do instead. (more…)

7 Ways to Break Through Your Visibility Roadblocks

When we talk about getting visible, we have to talk about getting uncomfortable. Because the truth of the matter is that for many of us, especially at the beginning, being visible IS uncomfortable.
We don’t love posting on Facebook.
We don’t want our family and friends seeing us when we’re not yet “successful”.
We’re nervous to get on Facebook live – or submit a guest post.
We overthink what we say, how we look, or how others might react.
We wonder whether or not people will like what we have to say or if they might have something negative to say back.
At the heart of the matter, we’re asking ourselves…What if I get rejected? Or criticized? Or humiliated?
And, I get it. These fears are common for so many of us. But the things is that, for the most part, these fears are imagined danger – and they’re definitely not a reason to stay quiet or hidden. We’ve got to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Here are 7 ways to help you work through those roadblocks:

4 Ways You Might Be Sabotaging Your Sales

So many entrepreneurs say that sales are their #1 struggle in business…. But 99.9% of the time it’s because they haven’t found a way to do it that feels good and fits them and their unique business.
I’m here to tell you that sales doesn’t have to be icky, sleazy, or disempowering.
Closing sales is not about being a “dancing monkey” trying to prove your worth, and it’s not about being a robot reading from a sales script. It’s about engaging in a conversation with real, empowered people who can make real, empowered decisions and showing them the value of the services that you provide.
Throughout my career as a coach, here are the most common ways that I see where people are missing the mark when trying to create sales in their business: (more…)

One Sales Strategy You Should Be Implementing To Create A Successful Business

So many times we hear that sales are the lifeline of our business. We have put so much focus on “making the sale” and pitching to our potential clients, that many times we’ve forgotten why we created our business in the first place. Yes, sales are so important to the survival of our business, but have we been looking at this all wrong?
I’ve realized that business owners are approaching the growth of their biz all backwards. We’ve been trained when creating goals to ask questions like:

  • How can I add 1,000 people to my list?
  • How can I make 10K per month?
  • How can I sign 6 new clients?

But, what if, we instead asked questions that are based on GIVING value. This is something I learned from the incredible Margaret Lynch and it works!
Instead we can ask:

  • How can I give value to 1,000 new people?
  • How can I give 10k worth of value per month?
  • How can I give 6 new people a life + business changing experience?

It’s about how I can GIVE more value, not how can I GET XYZ! (more…)

How to focus on what you actually have control over in your business

Have you ever asked yourself what you can REALLY control in your business?
As entrepreneurs, so much can feel out of our control, and frankly it can make us CRAZY. In fact, I would say it’s one of the most pervasive mindset challenges entrepreneurs face!
I see a lot of entrepreneurs (including many of my clients when they first come to me) trying to control ALLLLL the things they can’t control, and finding themselves running REAL fast on a hamster wheel.
When we focus on all the things we can’t actually control, it’s easy to get caught up in shiny object syndrome and doing WAY too many things.
Here are 3 tips on focusing on what you can actually control in your business (so that you can get the results you really want).

Two Myths That Stop Entrepreneurs From Repurposing Content + How to Change It!

Sharing content consistently is something that most, if not all, online entrepreneurs place a lot of value on. We hear how important it is to connect with our audience every day but nobody ever tells us how to do it without being online 24/7!
My secret?
Planning AND repurposing my content!
I talk to so many amazing women that put a TON of pressure on themselves to create new, exciting content for every platform they’re on multiple times per day. This can be SO draining and unproductive.
The pressure we put on ourselves to constantly create NEW content usually leads to one of two things….. (more…)

The One Comparison That Can Break Your Business

A big block for many of us is that we compare our current business to our future business, and getting stuck/frustrated/overwhelmed that we aren’t there yet.
I feel really passionate about this topic because it keeps too many amazing entrepreneurs from moving forward and taking the consistent right actions that will lead them to the success they desire!
Despite all of the noise we’re bombarded with each day, building a business really is a PROCESS that takes a ton of time, energy, and patience. We’re never “DONE”, which can be very challenging to realize (especially for high-performers).
The question then becomes: “How can we work toward our goals and enjoy the process rather than always being focused on the end result?”
Here are some key steps to working through this issue.

How to Overcome Your Sales Obstacles and Feel Good About It

Many service providers see sales as their biggest issue in business, because they haven’t yet cracked the code to finding a way that makes the sales process feel good. They aren’t yet sure how to step back from the “ick” factor – from the “I didn’t get into business to sell” story – and truly step into their power.
A lot of us need – and really want – a way to do sales that is actually about the service.

Why Personal Growth Is The Key That Many Entrepreneurs Are Missing

As a coach, I’ve seen how business owners can neglect their personal needs and personal growth in the early stages of entrepreneurship. You’re so busy trying to hustle and bustle and build your business that doing something for yourself just isn’t on your radar.
Here’s the deal: when you grow, your business grows.
You don’t need to feel guilty or any less of a badass for needing some self care, pleasure reading, or time with family and friends. It’s through those experiences that you’ll grow and develop which can only mean good things for your business!
Business demands creativity, passion, innovation, and aligned action. When we stop investing in ourselves that spark that lights us up and moves us forward dims, and so does our business.
If this rings true for you, it’s time to snap out of the coffee haze and invest in yourself! Here are some tips on how to achieve this in your own business.

Things NOT To Do To Be Effective With Your Time

What’s your relationship with time? Do you see it as your friend or your enemy?
Most of us feel like time is something we’re working AGAINST, not with.
But guess what? Time isn’t our enemy. It’s neutral (much like money). We just have to choose what to do with it.
At one point or another we’ve all feel like we need more money, more knowledge, more connections, more resources to grow and scale our businesses. But remember that there is one thing that we have complete and total control over: how each of us spends the 24 hours in our day.
Here are 4 things NOT to do when trying to be most effective with your time: (more…)

3 Steps to Create a Thriving Relationship with Money

I think sometimes people feel guilty for caring about money (which is super important as a biz owner!) because they think it makes them greedy. The truth is, caring about money won’t make you greedy, destroy your priorities, or turn you into a money monster.
But money can help you go on more vacations, send your kids to better schools, invest back into your business, take care of your health, and so much more.

Money is a tool that YOU use, not a vice that uses you.

The thoughts we consistently think are just as impactful as the actions we consistently take, because what we believe shows up in our lives!
Let’s correct this bullshit once and for all: being a business owner who cares about income doesn’t make you a bad person. You will never be less of a thoughtful, giving, kind-hearted person because you make money. Your income doesn’t define your worth, but it does give you a level of security, freedom, and comfort.
We need to get comfortable with money, work on our relationship with money, and set money goals that drive our business forward.

4 Things You’re Not Doing in Your Biz That Are Holding You Back

When we first begin our businesses, it can feel hard to create consistency and show up daily. This is especially true if we have another job or commitment that is still part of our lives. Being willing to do the uncomfortable work of showing up daily (even when we don’t want to) is what sets us apart from the other business owners.
If you show up daily, your business will grow daily. It’s as simple as that.

I am coming up on three years in business, multi-six figures, staying on track for my 2019 income goals, just closed out the FOURTH round of A Lit Up Partnership, and have clients that are killing it (we’re talking two that just closed out May with their first $10k months!).

And do you know what one of the things that I attribute that success to? No, it wasn’t learning a sales script or finding a 5-step blueprint to 25k months.

It was getting comfortable being uncomfortable. It was being comfortable enough to take BOLD action that created my BIG results.

I see too many entrepreneurs staying stuck because they’re not willing to consistently go outside of their comfort zone. Here are 4 things you may not be doing in your biz that are holding you back. (more…)

Business has always been about THIS – and it always will be

Connection can REALLY grow a business. It makes the way for support, referrals, opportunities, and resources to flow our way.
But, when it comes to the kind of connection that pays off for the long haul, posting content online isn’t enough. Starting a Facebook group by itself doesn’t cut it. Booking loads of sales call is just step one.
Because GENUINE connection is the only type of connection that lasts and builds your business long-term. Being yourself, getting real, and staying vulnerable with your community – THAT’S the long-term strategy that will pay off more than you can even imagine. (more…)

The Two Problems with “Getting Visible”

Visibility is one of the biggest challenges for new entrepreneurs.
I hear from so many people that they really WANT a certain result, but they aren’t willing to do the VISIBLE work to get that result. (The behind the scenes stuff? Don’t get me wrong – they’re all about hustling in that aspect, but getting it out there? So much more challenging!)
When it comes to Facebook posts, livestreams, Youtube videos, consistent Instagram content, asking for the sale….getting visible is a HUGE challenge for so many new entrepreneurs.
After creating six figures in my first year of business and growing from there, I’ve learned first hand that getting visible IS the key to growing your business. It’s not just smoke and mirrors. HOWEVER, I’ve also learned that it’s not enough to just talk about getting visible and what that visibility can do for your bank account.
We’ve got to talk about getting visible and putting yourself out there consistently…and in a way that feels GOOD.
It sounds simple enough, but there’s a problem with this — with visibility feeling good. In fact, there’s two problems with “getting visible”. Here’s what I mean: (more…)

How to Solve the Biggest Issue in Your Biz and ACTUALLY Get Results NOW

Can we talk about the biggest unaddressed issue in our industry?
OK, good.
It’s solving the WRONG problems in your business.
I see this often with clients that come to me trying to solve a problem with “starting the sale” (i.e. getting more warm leads) by learning how to do discovery calls better… but it’s not the right solution to that problem.  Or they come to 1:1 coaching trying to solve a mindset/belief problem by getting even MORE strategy planned out. 5 Steps to Cultivating Inspiration Anywhere Anytime

Content creation is a muscle we’ve got to work regularly. However, even if we’re used to writing and sharing regular content, sometimes we just feel stuck. It happens to everyone (myself included!) and can be super frustrating if we don’t have the tools to move through it.
Which begs the question: Do you have tools to cultivate inspiration – or are you a slave to inspiration in your business?
If you fall into the latter category, you’re not alone. This is a problem for so many entrepreneurs! We feel like we can only create, make things happen, etc. WHEN we’re feeling inspired and we feel like that inspiration is completely out of our hands.
But, what if we flipped the script and took responsibility for our inspiration? What if we made it our friend? What if we cultivated and nurtured it like an important team member in our business?
Here’s how I do this in my business (and how I help my clients do the same)! (more…)

3 Steps to Align Your Vision + Your Values for Long-Term Success

Values and vision…these things ultimately make or break your business.
Whether or not your values and vision (or goals) work together or separately will determine whether you feel clear, inspired, and lit up about your work….or you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated.
For long-term success, it’s crucial that your vision and goals are in alignment with your values.
This sounds easy enough, but the problem I see with so many businesses is that they don’t know their values or they aren’t letting their values inform their vision and goals. You see, these aren’t housed in separate silos. We need to bring them together. (more…)

Want to change your reality? Change your environment.

Who we surround ourselves with matters.
What I mean by this is that we’re influenced – for better or worse! – by the relationships we keep in both business and life. You’ve probably heard of the quote from Jim Rohn that says we’re the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with. With this, he’s really just saying that we start to think and act like the people around us are thinking and acting.
This can be incredibly detrimental OR incredibly helpful.

2 Steps to Creating Consistent Connections (and BIG results) in Your Business

I get asked regularly how I created success so quickly in my business. The answer is not a grand 5-step plan or some big secret. Here’s what I did:

I showed up every. single. day.

I’d say that’s it, that’s all I did, but I know showing up consistently isn’t easy. In fact, showing up consistently BEFORE we see results can be quite hard. BUT, it’s what will make all the difference between success and failure when we’re starting out.
For me, showing up meant looking at my relationship with my community and my business just like any other relationship.
I knew that if someone I was dating showed up to hang out with me for 5 days in a row, then dropped off the face of the earth for 10 days, then came back for 2, etc…we wouldn’t be hanging out together for long. I realized right away that my potential clients, community, and followers feel the same way. They expect (and want) me to show up consistently even BEFORE they start engaging, interacting, and showing up for me. (more…)

How to Market Like a BOSS

When it comes to marketing, it is so crucial we understand that our clients interpret our value on different levels.
What I mean by that is our clients recognize value on several levels: our unique selling point, our framework, the results we’re most excited about, and the results our clients desire. We have to be VERY clear when to market to – and when to talk about – each one.
What I see happening too often is that we market something that our potential clients are not yet ready for. We take it to mean they’re not interested in buying, but in reality we’re speaking a LANGUAGE they’re not ready for.
Instead, we’ve to got to talk about our unique selling point (our golden egg in marketing terms) as it relates to our clients. THIS is how to market like a boss. (more…)

Want to make more money? 4 ways to CLOSE more sales RIGHT away!

Want to make more money? Want to close more sales?
If so, then here’s something important to learn: you don’t have to choose between selling OR serving. In fact, only when we make space for BOTH selling AND serving do our communities and our businesses thrive.
This means that for maximum income and impact, it’s super important to develop a mindset – and a sales process – that is open to giving value, serving our communities, and receiving abundance all at the same time!
There are too many people trying to make hardcore sales tactics work in the coaching / service-provider world. The problem is they just don’t fit what we’re trying to sell (i.e deeply personal human to human support… not fax machines).
We need to change the way we approach sales, which means we need to learn the difference between selling and selling YOURSELF. In other words, I am always available to sell. I am never available to sell myself.
What do I mean? (more…)

Are Facebook groups and funnels REALLY dying? Maybe.

“Facebook groups are dying.”
“Marketing funnels don’t work anymore.”
“Webinars no longer convert.”
There’s been talk around the block lately that Facebook groups, webinars, and even email funnels are no longer useful in business, particularly when it comes to growing an audience (and your bank account).
But, these numbers only tell one side of the story.
What I want to hone in on is WHY they’re “dying”.
Because…Facebook groups, webinars, or email funnels that are unengaged, only about sales, or aren’t true communities MIGHT be dying (probably should be dying)…but REAL communities?
Real communities are not going away. Real communities are here to stay.
…and, those real communities will build your business and your bank account for the long haul! Here’s how. (more…)

What to do if you’re not seeing results in your business

Do you ever feel like you’re so close, but not yet actually at the success you want? Or, do you ever feel like you’re doing ALL the things and just hoping – maybe silently and desperately praying – that something will stick?
If so, then here’s a little something you might not yet know. Success doesn’t always come from action. Success doesn’t always look like action – result – action – result.
I know, this is an annoying one to hear, right? Still grinds my gears a little too, but it’s true. In fact, when we get ATTACHED to looking at the actions we take in this way, we BLOCK our power and our energy. We block the exact power and energy that attracts our desires in the first place.
This means that when we bank on taking an action and experiencing a particular result, we are less likely to actually receive that result.
Now, this doesn’t mean we don’t have goals and desired outcomes. It doesn’t mean we don’t take action in an effort to meet our goals and desired outcomes. Instead, it means we’re not just taking action to immediately hit those goals. In fact, it means we’re SO committed to those goals that we’re going to keep showing up while they show up (and heck, maybe even enjoy the process).
Here’s what it actually takes to create our desired success – from mindset to strategy to execution! (more…)

How To Build Your Community AND Make Bank

Ready for a #truthbomb? It’s possible to build a thriving, VALUABLE community while building your business + bank account.
Because contrary to what some might say, these two things are not mutually exclusive. You don’t have to choose between building a community…or building an empire.
You get to have both, so long as you are willing to DO both!
That means, we don’t JUST focus our time on selling…and we don’t JUST focus our energy on serving. We’ve got to make space in our day for both, because only then do our communities AND our businesses thrive.
Don’t believe me yet?
I built a thriving community AND an ever-growing bank account while staying value-based and in integrity the entire time. (Aka, no sleazy, slimy, manipulative tricks were needed. And I don’t talk about making XX amount five times a day!)
You see, I’m not one of those coaches who thinks you should only build a community to make more money. But, at the same time, I’m not one of those coaches who believes you shouldn’t sell to your community either.
For maximum results, we’ve got to develop a mindset where we can give value, serve, and be willing to receive all at the same time.

Why Finding Your Ideal Client is Bullshit… And What To Do Instead

I think the whole ideal client thing is bullshit. Seriously… I do.
We’re chasing an ideal that doesn’t exist.
Sure, there is value in knowing who you love to work with. It’s great to understand who lights you up, who leaves you feeling energized, who you get and understand and therefore can best serve. It’s helpful, for your sake and your client’s sake, to know who are speaking to and for who your services and programs are made.
But, at this point, the ideal client pendulum is swinging way past the point of value. These ideal client exercises are becoming excuses. They’re reasons to stay stuck, to not move, to not take action. They’re becoming another justification for why we’re not ready to sell, to speak up, or to share our thoughts… because we feel like we need “MORE”… more research, more info, more clarity, etc.
And that’s the opposite of what ideal client work is supposed to do. Ideal client work that is helpful will PROPEL you forward, knowing exactly when to speak and what to say. Not the other way around. (more…)

5 Ways Getting Comfortable Being Uncomfortable Has Helped Me Achieve Major Success

There’s a lot of talk in the entrepreneurial space that you should only do things in your business from a place of “flow” and “ease”. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about both of those things, but you can still have ease (which ironically is different than EASY) and you can still have flow (which ironically is NOT the opposite of hustle) WHILE showing up daily and creating momentum and results in your business.
Yet, this requires a willingness to get comfortable being uncomfortable. To decide that not everything has to feel “amazing” in order to get it done. To recognize that many things that are new WILL be uncomfortable at the beginning.
The quicker you can get comfortable in the uncomfortable, the quicker you’ll see results in your business. How do I know? Let me share with you the 5 ways that getting comfortable being uncomfortable has helped me achieve major success as an entrepreneur…

Sometimes I Hate The Coaching Industry…

Yeah, we’re about to get REALLY real.
The truth is, I’ve felt this way on and off for awhile, but it wasn’t until I went to dinner with a fellow entrepreneur last weekend who I told I was going through a “I hate the coaching industry” phase and she hugged me and nodded in TOTAL agreement, offering “Girl, I get it. Happens to me all the time”, and then one of my own clients mentioned her occasional disillusionment with the coaching space that I KNEW I needed to talk about it.
So #letsgetreal
Sometimes I seriously hate the coaching industry.
Sometimes I feel like everyone is full of crap.
Sometimes I feel like we’re SO obsessed with results but NOT obsessed (or transparent) with what goes on to get them.

Sometimes I feel like it’s all a little multi-level-marketing-ish.
Sometimes I feel like there are A LOT of people not meant to be entrepreneurs.

My Specific Practices For Getting Empowered Around Money

Money is such a charged topic isn’t it? It can make us feel deliriously happy (new client pays her first invoice) OR like a total failure (monthly income is NOT where you want it to be, or is simply non-existent).
But the truth is, that its usually LESS about what happens (because we could easily reframe either of these situations to be good or bad) and MORE about the level of empowerment you feel around money.
Let’s check in:

The Top Ten Habits of Wildly Successful Online Entrepreneurs

It can be so tempting to chase that magic pill that grants you all the success you’ve been desiring (ideally with none of the effort, am I right?).
In fact, a lot of the marketing to online entrepreneurs that I see lately suggests that there IS a hidden secret to success that you just haven’t uncovered yet.
I’m here to tell you that there is NO secret to success, but if there was… the secret would be to not believe that everyone is hiding a secret from you.
The “secret” is showing up, doing the right things, and creating habits that contribute to the success you desire.
Over the past few years, I’ve built two successful online business and worked with dozens of entrepreneurs to create wildly successful businesses of their own. Even though each entrepreneur’s path looks a little different, I’ve discovered some major themes that are true for myself and everyone I’ve connected with. Here are the top ten habits of wildly successful entrepreneurs:

More Connections = More Results in Your Business

When I started my business I felt like everyone must have had it more together than me! I did NOT want to reach out, connect, or collaborate because there was a part of me that wasn’t standing in my power or giving myself any credit.
Now, I know that I probably had it way more together than a lot of people, but more importantly than that, I realize that it actually didn’t matter either way!
What matters is that we’re all in this together, we’re all entrepreneurs working for ourselves and often by ourselves, and that we’re in this business because we crave to serve and connect with others.
Collaboration and connection can REALLY grow our businesses. For me, it’s given support, referrals, opportunities, resources that I know I would have taken significantly longer to create on my own. So let’s remember that collaboration and connection are not only welcomed but also necessary to building and growing our audiences, our businesses, and ourselves.

Visibility that feels good AND grows your business

When I recently opened up the application process for A Lit Up Partnership, one of the most interesting things that came out of the three week process was the realization that visibility remains one of the biggest challenges for new entrepreneurs.
The amount of people who indicated they REALLY wanted to win the partnership, and then stopped participating during the visibility challenge was significant.  Many of them personally reached out and told me that was a HUGE challenge for them.
In fact, statistically speaking that’s where the most people BY FAR dropped out of the partnership process.
Visibility is key in growing your business, but I no longer want to just talk about getting visible… I want to talk about doing it in a way that feels good to YOU.

9 Lessons from A Lit Up Partnership

Over the past 6 months, I ran a process called A Lit Up Partnership, where I (along with 4 other coaches) worked with clients, not for a set payment, but for 15% of the revenue they generate in our work together over 6 months.
It was a really cool and interesting experiment that allowed us to look at a new business model and learn a ton along the way.
I believe in breaking down barriers, being innovative, and creating opportunity in this industry. A Lit Up Partnership was created around those beliefs, and the results were mind-blowing!
That’s why I’m so excited to be re-launching A Lit Up Partnership and opening one spot to start in January. (Click here to learn more!) To celebrate, I’ve been reflecting on all the lessons that came out of the first round of partners.
Here are 9 of the biggest lessons I learned through this process AND how you can apply them to your own business!

How I Quickly Created Massive Results in My Business

You hear the success stories:

  • In less than 6 months I filled my coaching practice and created a wait list
  • I’ve had consistent five-figure months since my second month in business
  • I made more in the first 5 months in my business than I did in a YEAR at my old job.

And let’s be honest… sometimes they sound like bullshit.
But for me… all of this is true.
I don’t say this to brag… but because I want you to know that it’s POSSIBLE for you.
I created all of these results in my coaching business not because I knew a “secret” that no one else knew, and not because I followed a step by step program, but because I figured out what worked for me and implemented.
If you’ve been following me for a while, it should come as no surprise to you that there were 3 key areas that I focused my energy on that I contribute to my success… Mindset, Strategy, and Execution.
Here’s how I implemented each of these early on in my business to create those results:

How to Effectively Repurpose Your Content During the Holidays

Lately I’ve been reflecting on how different my life looks now than it did just over 3 years ago.
The me of 3 years ago was SUPER stressed and overwhelmed leading up to the holidays and NEVER took time off because I wanted my employees to be able to take the time.
I would run around like crazy, always ended up buying premade stuff for Thanksgiving (because I didn’t have time to make it), bought Christmas presents on Christmas Eve (after I left work that is), and even forgot to get my husband a Christmas card 2 years in a row.
Last year I had the extreme pleasure of making my own schedule, not living in burn out mode, and getting to truly ENJOY what the holidays are really about rather than just rushing through them.
To make things even better I got to take 2 ski trips with my husband plus go to New York to see his family.
And I plan on doing the exact same thing this year… trips are already booked!
One of the reasons that I’m able to do all this is because I have my content planned out in advance and I repurpose it effectively so that I can spend more time actually enjoying the holidays rather than feeling like I’m chained to my business.
With Christmas right around the corner, let’s talk about how you can repurpose your content so you can spend more time and energy with family and friends this holiday season!

How leading with value can create better results in your business

We’re used to asking questions like:

  • How can I add 1,000 people to my list?
  • How can I make 10K per month?
  • How can I sign 6 new clients?

Instead, one thing that I learned from the incredible Margaret Lynch is to ask questions that are based around giving VALUE. In other words:

  • How can I give value to 1,000 new people?
  • How can I give 10k worth of value per month?
  • How can I give 6 new people a life + business changing experience?

That is exactly where the challenges, giveaways, etc. I do in my business come from… asking how can I give more value, not how can I get XYZ!

The Problem With Comparing Your Current Biz to Your Future Biz

It can be SO tempting to label ourselves a failure when we have a desire we haven’t met yet.
I think it can be ESPECIALLY tempting to do this as entrepreneurs.
But when we start to enjoy the process, give ourselves credit for what we have achieved, and dream about the future with desire and excitement rather than feelings of failure and overwhelm … everything can shift.
For me personally I learned this the hard way. I was always working toward something and was never happy until I got there.
I got one master’s degree and then I went on to get another.
I got one promotion and then chased the next.
On and on and on.
And finally when I became an entrepreneur and realized I was NEVER “done”, I gave myself permission to be happy where I was. Then ironically, I created success even faster than I knew was possible.
If you’re tempted to always be comparing where you are to where you want to be, let’s talk about how you can shift this.
